A  Community Resource To Know About

In Los Angeles County there is a  program called the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program( HPRP).   If you are homeless or about to be homeless due to a financial hardship the HPRP may be able to help pay:
·
     Back rent
·       Rental assistance
·       Security Deposit
·       Past Due Gas and electric bills
·       Fees to turn the utilities on

Call the program at (800) 973-3370 for more info or to refer a consumer.   Additional Housing Resources include the L.A. County Housing Resource Center www.housing.lacounty.gov.
I often refer callers to the:  Beyond Shelter, 1200 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 600, Los Angeles, CA 90017, USA;  telephone: (213) 252-0772, fax: (213) 480-0846.  This is a similar program.  http://www.beyondshelter.org/home.html .
